He was constantly setting the scene for the “murder on the midnight express” menu. Food was incredible, each course topped the last, every time we thought it couldn’t get better, it did. “ At the risk of sounding pretentious, we have dined at some of the best restaurants in New York, London and Paris, and this is the best food we have ever had. The cocktail pairing elevated each dish to perfection (don't expect them to be small!). The staff were extremely knowledgeable of each dish and they looked after us very well. Every table in the restaurant was occupied and yet dishes and cocktails were served in a timely manner. Our server, Lucia, was excellent. The puzzles were fun and engaging and not too complex for tipsy participants! Add some live music and you have the best dining experience you could possibly ask for. Dress code is flexible (but most gents wore a shirt) . ”

“ I've been twice now. Once for the six course Mexico tasting menu and once for the four course (lunch) Japan tasting menu. The staff explain each course and are very attentive. They were able to accommodate dietary requirements (dairy-free). Expensive, but you're paying for the experience. Food is delicious. ”
“ An absolutely brilliant experience! We visited as my post-Christmas gift and I can honestly say it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in my life. Part of this was down to the fact it was my first time having a fine dining tasting menu, and partly down to the fact that it was a really good menu - we had the Murder Mystery experience - but I can also attribute this to the quality of the food and the phenomenal service from Jude and Beth who looked after us perfectly. Jude took the time to really engage with the menu and theme, and Beth spoke to us after we’d finished. Both were warm, welcoming, and friendly. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, service was excellent, and the restaurant itself was beautiful. It wasn’t cheap, but for a fine dining tasting menu it was good value. The only possible downside is that we’re going to have to go back at least every six weeks! ”
